I installed the default Krita furnished with it, but was not happy because I couldn't do a curved line without breaking edges.
So I added ppa:dimula73/krita repo because I saw there was Xenial releases. To try 2.9 or 3.0 unstable. But it's impossible because it's asking for libgsl0ldbl (>=1.9) and it can have only 1.16. I did some searches, I found it was part of gsl https://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/ , and that there was a 2.1 release. I found this https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/amd ... 2.1+dfsg-2 and it states that it replaces: gsl libgsl0 (<= 1.9-4) libgsl0ldbl (<= 1.16+dfsg-4) Thanks! Vincent |

I'm sorry, but since 16.04 isn't even out yet we don't test with it. The 3.0 pre-alpha appimage should run, though! And doesn't even need installing.

But there is a Xenial release in ppa:dimula73/krita °°> (maybe it's only from Dmitry?)
°o° Tried the AppImage (made it executable), didn't started. Tried an example file from Appimage.org (made it executable), started it, worked. ![]() Thanks |

you can mount the appimage and run krita manually and see what's up. I'm afraid I just don't have the time time play with distribution alphas and betas myself.
