Hi again!
Another feature I want to be brought in Krita is a paging system.
I'm working on a manga and I found difficult handle so many layers for each page; I can't organize the project file as a list of pages and this would help me a lot.

Already suggested it, but they don't listen. Even though paging isn't really any different than separate frames for animation.

We never said we don't want to implement tools for it, we just said we wouldn't make it a single file.

A project not being a single file doesn't remove the possibility of allowing a nice organisational gui that allows you to switch between files easily and quickly. Game Engine GUIs are mostly about accessing a ton of different files easily and quickly in an organised manner.

We have a proposal with requirements and everything for it, it mostly needs a developer with time, or money to pay for a developer with time.

I've pm'ed "darkhog" about his remark... In any case, a system for handling pages in the form of a sketchbook or flipbook thing is something I've worked on before, but Krita wasn't ready for that back then. Real page layout, ready for print, we'll probably never do; that's Scribus' job. When it comes to flipping pages, a lot can actually be done with the composition docker already, even though I readily admit it's not there yet.

I would also like everyone who is thinking about feature requests to first read

viewtopic.php?f=288&t=131448

Which is about how to make good feature requests.

I don't know if I should submit it to the bug tracker as it was mentioned that someone already requested or tracked it but, I would like to agree with the original poster that a paging system or perhaps what you were working on Boud would be great for folks like me that want to use Krita for creating a comic books series. I'll admit, in all honesty, that it isn't a super paramount feature, but it would be nice to have when trying to organized pages and or flip them when making comics. Manga/Clip paint has a feature like this (but I hate those programs haha). As usual I would like to thank all the developers for the hard and often times arduous work of listening to the whining and complaining of krita users (haha) and making this program so awesome. ;D

No need to add a wish to bugzilla: it's part of the krita-next phabricator project already (https://phabricator.kde.org/T472). It might end up as a stretch goal for this year's kickstarter, but it would be an expensive stretch goal. What is needed is the discussion part of a feature request, here on the forum, about workflows, feature ideas and so on. And then we need UX/UI design. This is all work that you, the people who want to use the feature, need to do. Just adding a reminder in bugzilla that a sketchbook feature would be cool doesn't add a whole lot: we already know :-)
