Hi. recently I've been changing my tablet from Pentagram Virtuosso to Wacom Intuos 5 (I borrowed it from my for tests friend with the intention repurchase). I'm struggling with getting any pressure sensitivity in Krita. It works fine in Photoshop. I was seeing some topics talking about pressure problems, but I don't see solution that works for me. I have an dual monitor setup, running Windows 10 on an old dual core Phenom II with 8 GB of RAM. I installed the lastest tablet drivers from wacom website.
I'll be grateful for any help. |

Which version of Krita? With Krita 3, I have no problems using my intuos or cintiq wacom tablets on any version of Windows. Check https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Windows for instructions on getting debug output.

Today I installed Krita 3. I had problems of 2.9 and I thought about updating. I had no issues with my previous tablet.
Here is log:

Yes, Krita doesn't see any tablet -- that basically has to be a kind of installation problem. You're not running Krita in some kind of compatibility mode or sandbox mode?

Well, it says "Failed to initialize Wintab", so maybe a driver reinstall might help???

I don't think so. There was no pop-up during the installation. And I had no problem running it without messing around with the any compatibility mode or sandbox. My windows account is the only one on this machine and has all the admin privileges. Hmm... Maybe I need to reinstall the tablet drivers?

Maybe... Check that the wacom driver desktop app says something sensible, instead of just gving you social media links.

I'll try couple of things and later I'll post my findings. I'll try some older drivers, maybe this will do. Wacom App just now started to install new drivers. 0_o

Now it works. Driver made a sudden update (claiming before that he has a newest driver and there is no update) and it started working. Thanks for all your help. Sometimes technology is just weird.

I know it well. For my last tablet (Pentagram Virtousso) I hat to use some strange third party drivers from another model with the same components, because Pentagram stopped supporting the damn thing and there was no drivers for Windows 10. It was miracle that this thing worked. |
