Hello!
Let me just say Krita is powerful, and I just love it! But I've met some limitations and I'm here to describe them. I just wanna make it clear I'm not complaining or bragging. My system is a i3 3.5 with 8Gb 1333 and SSD HD used for app, cache and temp data. 1. For the style I'm used to when it comes for coloring my cartoons, I have trouble with the fill area tool. After a bunch of layers on a A3 300dpi paper it starts to delay the area filling. Sometimes it takes more than 2 seconds and even to 3 to render the area filled after clicking. 2. When I try to use big brushes (1000 size or more) it also lags - has some delay to render, specially with different blending modes other than normal. I think this is not a problem for most users because they use Krita mostly for animation or painting with less than 1000 size brushes, but I just wanted to point it out in case anyone's looking to hone Krita's potential. Cheers! |

Did you try view->instant preview?
Also take a look at: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Krita_is_slow https://docs.krita.org/Instant_Preview |

Hey, thanks for the reply, sorry for the long delay. Yes I have tried disabling Instant Preview, I've searched a lot in the web for tips to make it faster. But I don't have problems with regular brushes, it's really the big ones, like "the maximum" size. |
