I there, and thank you for the amazing work on animation with Krita.
I've tried to move an animated layer, and it only moves a frame of it. Even if it seem's normal, I was wondering if there were no ways to move an entire animation layer in one gesture : like moving a group of layer, but with all the frames of an animation. Thanks for your future replies. |

I would also welcome a feature like this. I'm on Day 2 with this software and have already come across this issue.
p.s. I absolutely love this app. kudos to the creators for implementing a proper timeline with coloured onion skinning. |

In OSX if you press alt and drag a frame, it moves every frame behind it.
Also if I want to move frames on 2 or more layers at the same time, I need first to select first frames which I want to move on both layers, then press ALT, click on a frame and drag. https://docs.krita.org/Timeline_Docker |

Is it possible, meanwhile?
I got to draw 600 mouth shapes, and it woult be great, if I could move the (by papagayo) generated ones / patterns near to the final positions... ![]() |

I'm painfully aware it isn't a full feature, but you're able to move the frame as a whole uniformly using Layer>Transform>Offset Layer...
It's not super difficult to then setup an autohotkey script to transform many frames the exact same way |

Thank you for your response. I have encountered the same need and expectation to offset the complete layer. This requirement often occurs when imported background frames do not have the same frame size as the animated layer, resulting in the animated frames being in the wrong location against the background, or where the background is also animated and part of a sequence of animated foreground frames need to be duplicated as another layer then offset to a new position. You end your reply with "It's not super difficult to then setup an autohotkey script to transform many frames the exact same way" My understanding of scripting programs ended with GWizz Basic, Dos and Unix. Would I need to learn Python in much depth to achieve what you suggest? Currently using shortcut keys frame by frame, even for a 20 second clip (480 frames) is a very ineffective use of time. Regards Brianandr. 10.00 am. Sorry "raspberryjam", I just discovered autohotkey enables scripting shortcuts for Windows. I wasn't aware it existed. I've downloaded it and will see how I manage. Thank you for your original post. ![]() |

You can also just add a Transform Mask, select it and move the thing you want to move, and then merge with the layer. Right now the Transform Mask just moves/transforms all the frames in the layer (although I know that Emmet and Eoin are making the mask animatable, which will be awesome
