Could not really find it in the wishlist. With Krita supporting animation, onionskinning, et cetera,... would it be possible to have a special layer in the timeline that shows (and plays, when played) a sound file, like wav of mp3?

That way we could synchronize sound with animation.

So, add a sound docker?

Krita should not turn into a full sound editor ofcourse... but when you have a small premade soundfile with speech it will be easier to lipsync if you can hear the actual sound of words spoken.

I think for starters having a single soundfile would do. But do make it possible for that soundfile to start at a particular frame. For instance... suppose a person would want to test if an explosion he wants to show at a certain point, then the soundfile he/she wants to use for that should ofcourse not be played from the start, but at the point within his/her already existing animation where the first keyframe will be, for this particular explosion animation.

So a very simple sounddocker:
1) load wav/mp3
2) start at keyframe XXX
3) play wav/mp3
