To make sure you understand the context of what I mean, take a look at the following video at approximately 1:12 onwards.
https://youtu.be/VRPln502FO4?t=1m12s Since Krita already has an animation-mode currently (and I love it to bits; I used it for one of my commercial works) I was wondering if it's possible to implement a feature to allow animating in a similar sense to what Gamemaker Studio 2 currently does. Of course, Krita can't seem to do that currently, I tried drawing while hitting "Play", but the playing stops at the frame my brush starts drawing. This sort of feature can not only help save time when it comes to drawing effects for animation, but also open up a gateway to a whole range of stylistic effects, such as quickly creating self-drawing videos, etc. by giving you the option to, say, inherit collective strokes from previous frames or to redraw from black at the cursor position on the frame you're already in. One could even perhaps declare to what "number of frames" the current one may inherit. |
