Which goals and stretch goals will be part of 3.1? The goals that didn't make it, will they be part of 3.1.x and still arrive before NYE, or likely next year?

Not in:
* We're still messing around with the stacked brush engine, and that seems now to block on a gui redesign for the brush editor, though the code is already functionally working. * The lazy brush/colorize mask feature is working, but the algorithm we used is way too slow to be usable, so that is going to be disabled. * We also still need to do the improved palette editor (waiting on functioning python scripting) and reference image docker rewrite. * The 2016 goals, python scripting, svg/vector tools rewrite and text tool rewrite won't be in 3.1 either, naturally, since those are really big projects. In: * Animated file format export * Rules and guides * layer selection improvements * editable brush tips * HUD * Updated layer docker L&F * Fuzzy strokes * Improved grids |

Alright, thanks. Hopefully everything goes as wished and we all have a nice 3.1 to play with during the holidays

If code for stacked brush is already working it is possible to get some version with this feature? Even if it's laggy and buggy.
What is HUD? |

Not without build from source, I'm afraid. I just don't have the time to make builds of every development branch. The HUD feature extends the popup palette with a way to easily change brush parameters on the fly. |

Any news on Brush settings management reworks? Actually can you tell me what we can expect in terms of concept? Will it become single folder eventually, so that managing the brush tips, textures (when applicable), and all settings, into single presets, that can be imported, exported, and bundled easily without the need of multiple folders like now?

Oh that looks very promising. I love how the library will get it's own window that hopefully also incorporates the resource management stuff that I mentioned earlier. |
