this would be nice to have, I request this too. Can you please file a [wish] bug report on the bug tracker so that it won't get lost in the forum and developers can keep track of this request

I'd rather extend the existing color picker tool to support this, than add another button. Actually, Wolthera, who made this work this summer, and I (as gsoc) mentor started looking into it, but never had the time to make the necessary changes.

Can work in the Krita window.
The picture-viewer at the Krita window side, Full screen pipet-tool work.

But the picture-viewer always on top, 80% color picking work failure.
