![]() Bigger picture with 100% scale I know developers have some work to do and this is not most important thing but I want to show my idea how to make export menu more handy and useful. Maybe for the future updates. Also it’s a way to combine animation and single picture export. Properties tab contains current export options, depends on file type. Options tab contains useful post processing features. It’s for actions that usually applies to exported image, such as resize, filters, changing color space, etc. With this you can just set the options, hit export and get picture without the need to open exported file. Default name and folder made for better quick export support. For example, you can export always in one certain folder. Also it would be good to add some kind of parse system for names, i.e. you can write “[name] ver. [incr]” and it’ll export file as “mockup ver. 2” (if there is “mockup ver. 1” in the folder). And a bunch another ideas that I find very useful: 1. Quick export. Button (or hotkey) for export picture with some settings without export window at all. 2. Open result. Open exported picture in new tab\window so you can view the result or do some post processing. 3. Hideable preview sub window. You can check how result picture looks like. Also can pan to some certain details with certain zoom. Size of the export window is 750x500px + about 480x500px for preview. I think it’s small enough to fit pretty much any monitor resolution. Any thoughts? |

We cannot give you a preview or even the filesize without saving the file first. Furthermore, we'd hoped that giving python scripting would allow quick export situations... In fact, it seems that everything except for the preview might be done as a python plug-in here...
(We also did recently rewrite the export, to allow it to give better feedback to users about losing say, layer information). I personally am pretty neutral to all of this, but I do recall that one of the blockers on 'render animation' was that the gui was too cluttered. |

I'll await python scripting then. Ability to quickly export to certain file type with auto resize is basically all that I personally want.
After your message I checked recent windows daily build (which 5 day old). New export almost the same as old one but I like it more. Off topic: Could I make something like mockup above with python? Or, lets say, make my own pop-up palette? |
