Whenever I drag and drop layer from one document to another, or copy paste it, at some point of my work Krita will crash. Do not get crash report window so I am not able to send it. Sometimes will crash after two operations, sometime after more but eventually it will crash.
I am on KDE Neon, Asus RoG laptop with GTX980. How can I can save Filter settings as preset so I can use them on another scene and avoid copy paste layer? |

Well, that's not normal, obviously. Which layer types are you trying to drag & drop? How big is your image, how big is your memory? Which version of Krita are you using? Are you using the neon builds, the lime ppa builds or the appimage?
If you're not using the appimage, could you install the debug symbols for krita, then start krita in gdb from the terminal and reproduce the crash? Then with "thread apply all bt" you should get a crash log no matter whether Plasma's crash reporter works or now. Saving filter settings is available as the bookmark functionality in the filter dialog, btw. |

I usually work on 4k images, but right now working on 2k images and happens also. I copied paint layers and on this particular project I tried Filter layer.
I have 32GB of RAM. Yes, I am using Neon, Krita from Lime ppa, latest 3.1.2 version. Will try to install debug symbols for Krita, thanks for suggestion. And that bookmark works only when you first add filter layer? Later if I want to tweak it I only get window like this http://screencloud.net/v/lShd3 |

Hey- I just wanted to post to say that this has been happening to me too. I'm working on the latest version of Krita in Windows 7.
When I copy layers from one doc to another, it looks as though it works on the surface, but then after I enter a 5-10 commands ( make a selection, toggle a few layer visibilities etc) the whole thing comes crashing down. I have something else to add: after several crashes, I realized copy layers was doing it, so immediately after I copied some layers, I saved the file. If I ever try to open that file, Krita will crash. |

Can you share that file with us? It's been too long for me to remember which bug report this was about
