To duplicate, you need to have a .png file of 22119x6404 pixels with alpha mask, and gradient texture or something on the line of that. Essentially a detailed png file that big.

Create a file layer using the .png image -> Create Scale Transform Mask to make it fit to a much smaller image -> Now keep working on the document altering whether it's visible or not.

You might notice it never gets pass 50 percent, and the operation is waiting for it to be completed.

System Information
---------------------------------------------------
- Windows 10 x64
- 32 GB of RAM
- NVIDIA Quaddro K4200
- Krita 3.1.2 64-bit Version

--------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: It works, but it takes a huge amount of time and resource for it to work. I will be testing the file I made at another time, and I will report this.

Hi Reptorian,

if you can reproduce the slowdown, and if you don't have problem of sharing the files with devs privately (if you don't want to attach the file in bug report), you can ask them to check it out. may be your file can serve a better test for the bug and help them :) You can talk to the devs in IRC

Yep, that seem to be related.

Right now, I don't have a file to test as I don't have the time to try to reproduce, but I will share when I get to that point. I'll report it to the KDE bug tracking system rather than IRC.
