Hi, I was thinking about that while painting some assets.
Don't get me wrong, I really love the Wrap Around mode... it's a lifesaver.
What I'm suggesting is just a sort of "add-on functionality".
Often times I have to do some repeating textures that needs to go along just horizontally or vertically, and I thought it would be great if we had a way to use the Wrap Around Mode only on those directions too.

I actually delved into the source code but quickly realized I'm still too noob for that.

OMG!!! Had absolutely no idea someone already logged that into the bugtracker back in 2013.
But as a strechgoal, can you tell us how far or not we are from having it implemented?
