Krita crashes due to either a segmentation fault when attempting to save a document or it crashes the xserver altogether forcing a session restart (i.e logging you out and closing all running applications).

This happens under arch linux running xfce4 as the DE.

All I know is that, according to GDB the crash happens in a function called from /usr/lib/libfreeimage.so.3

The xserver crash is guaranteed to happen upon a fresh installation

That's not a bug in Krita. You've got some components of the Deepin desktop installed, and one of those components is an utterly and completely broken qimageio plugin. Uninstall all Deepin components. See https://github.com/linuxdeepin/deepin-i ... r/issues/2
