I know Krita will have telemetry, and I would like to know if people will able to opt out of telemetry. Another thing I'd like to know if users will be given clear statements on how it works, and being used to aid into development of Krita.

Whether krita will have telemetry depends on whether this year's gsoc project will be merged: it is not ready for that. For you other concerns, haven't we been clear enough? Wasn't expecting there to be documentations about Telemetry, nor I remember seeing anything about that. But, I do gotta say I like the policy, and it is very clear. As with other telemetry-supported applications, I always do feel like I'm blindly trusting these applications to use my data and no way to verify what information is sent.
