I have made a development environment on my Ubuntu 17.10. A clean install.
I followed Davids manual " Building Krita 3.0 on Linux for cats", and it worked like a charm. I cloned the code, ran 'make' and 'make install', set the PATHs and ran Krita. No problems. I opened Qt Creator, imported Krita, looked at some code, Made a Build (Ctrl + B), and it made a build. No errors. Then I pressed Ctrl + R, to run Krita from within Creator. No luck. It exited with code -1, and said it could not find the program or missing permissions. Any ideas what I can do to make it find Krita, or is it not possible to run it from Creator? David |

I don't build or run Krita from Qt Creator myself, but it should be possible. You're probably missing the make install step in your build setup; krita can only be run from the install directory.

Thanks.
I think I'll do the same. No need to run or build from Creator. I'll set up some shell scripts when I get ome from work. BTW: version 4 looks fine! |
