Hi all,
I thought I'd use this thread to post suggestions/ideas and bugs I encounter while using the program (currently Krita 4.0). Bug: Adding a brush preset to ★ My favorites and then Choose brush preset > (right-click on a brush that does not exist in the preset) > Assign to tag > ★ My favorites > Edit brush settings > (change brush diameter) > Overwrite brush. The brush then disappears from the preset. When trying to re-assign to the tag '★ My favorites' the tag's name is no longer in the list. Closing and opening Krita will make the brush re-appear under ★ My favorites. But changing the preset will make it disappear again. Bug: The '★ My favorites' preset tab is empty after opening Krita. In order to make them appear one must first select another preset and then the one that was empty.

Suggestion:
Measure Tool should not be complelety black; what if you want to use it over a picture w/ lots or black in it? Either give it a semi-transparent white outline, or, maybe ever better, a color difference effect, like when you're creating a selection. |

Suggestion:
Ability to move selection 1 pixel w/ arrow keys. Shift+arrow keys for 10px movement. |

Suggestion:
Info docker that shows user rgb/cmyk code at cursor as well as selection width/height and cursor x/y position. |

Suggestion:
Selection menu has options for grow/shrink/feather/scale... and so on, but no Transform option. Ability to freely resize a selected area would be nice. |

Bug:
Sometimes when resizing a selection and confirming the new area with Enter key, the resulting selection does not match the size you made it. See attached pic. ![]() |

No, you just didn't read the release announcement. See https://krita.org/en/item/krita-4-0-0-released/

Suggestion:
Make it possible to adjust the measure tool's endpoint. A draggable handle at the end of the line would be enough. Clicking anywhere outside of the circle resets the measurement. Holding Ctrl moves the tool at half speed (for greater accuracy) See pic. Edit: Also a small box that tells you the distance delta and angle could be useful, so you don't need to open the Tool Options tab every time (updated pic.). ![]()

Suggestion:
A third option for the outlines for the circle (and other shapes) would be nice when you don't want to use the brush's settings. Options for line weight/thickness and color would be enough. See pic. ![]() |

This is already in there, you can even configure the multiplication. As for the rest, bugs should go to bugs.kde.org under the product Krita. They will be ignored when they're only posted on the forum because it is impossible to track bugs on the forum. All of your feature requests have the problem that you don't tell use what you want to use them for. It currently seems rather that you are going through the manual of some other software and just listing the options it has and Krita doesn't, this is I assume not intended? |

Suggestion:
when color picking with the cmd key (or ctrl on pc), the old and new colours are displayed to the right and lower from the cursor. This makes them basically invisible when using a Cintiq and drawing with your right hand. So please move this to the left as an option... |
