As a new Krita user I have decided to use 4.1.0-pre-alpha and build from sources. I've found this to be reasonably stable and, for me, it is a good way of learning a new tool and keeping up with the learning curve.
I typically start from the terminal to monitor run-time warnings and I consistently get these after the usual startup messages:
1. I haven't experimented with the "touchstrip" feature but, still, I would prefer a build without these diagnostics. 2. The SvgTextTool and flake diagnostics appear to be informational but I wouldn't mind clearing those if possible. This is on Debian (Debian 4.9.82-1+deb9u3) with an Enlightenment desktop (yes, it works great) and before Krita I ran very few KDE and Qt apps. I've done a few searches for org.krita.sketch to solve the first problem with no joy --- I've been too busy using Krita! |

org.sketch stuff is because krita cannot find the build qml stuff for the touchdocker. This is because on debian derivatives, the qml path is different from ther linux distros.

I'll experiment with environment variables. I noticed that this assignment, export QML2_IMPORT_PATH=/usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qml ... helps but now I need to help it find fonts. I'll do more research later today on qt runtime tweaking. Thanks for the quick help. |
