Okay, so since I've been using krita since may i figured i should really try animations. Everything was running smoothly. Frames were good, transitions are smooth, Everything! Until i came to save it. i downloaded the FFMPEG and used a tutorial to save is as a video. But it didn't work. So i thought I'd just try it again. I tried over and over again, changed it from high442 to baseline and all. I even tried using the CMD prompt to register the ffmpeg, but it showed me error. I continued trying, until it finally saved.... but as a black video. Can you please help me? I've been trying to render for about 2 days and this is my second animation (because krita crashed and didn't save my first one).
This is my screen when I press "Render Animation." https://docs.google.com/document/d/16IL ... sp=sharing |

Do any of the other formats work? Can you paste the contents of the log file here? (It should be in the same directory as the video you rendered).
I just checked and I only get an error when either of the frame dimensions is not divisable by two, but that does not seem to be your issue. |

If you go to your file system how big is the video file? Windows has really bad video players, so there is a good chance it won't work if you are trying it with something like the Windows Media player. A quick test would be to drag it into a web browser like Chrome. Just open a new tab and drag the video file to the empty area. Does it work with that? I think the video should work.
That was a big "gotcha" for me when I was originally messing around with animations on Windows. Other video players like VLC should play the videos fine. |
