It would be awesome if I could toss photo references in the grey space beyond my canvas. Adobe has it set up so an entire project can be created in one file, with the user having the ability to create new canvases to work on all on the same grey workspace. THAT is cool, but I most liked the ability to clutter all that unused grey area with sketches and references.

In the toolbox, the icon looks like a pin, and it's inbetween the measure tool and the selection tools.
