Hi, I installed krita snap package via snapstore. When I tried to render my image secuence to video I tried to find ffmpeg in my system, but not was possible, I had not access. Then I tried to copy ffmpeg file to my documents and I tried to locate it, to render my secuence. I did it, but It was not possible render; some error appears, it could not render it.( maybe by the snap restriction philosophy) This behavior is not happen in krita flatpak package, or krita appimage.
The ffmpeg snap package is not working in many apps including krita snap. I think the best option to fix this is to package ffmpeg with krita snap, as krita flatpak does. |

I haven't used the snap or flatpack packages of krita (only the .appimages or Windows versions) but I thought that krita does not include ffmpeg code or functionality. It offloads the job to whatever ffmpeg installation you have on your PC and you tell it where this is in the Render Animation control window.
It's recommended that you download the latest stable static build of ffmpeg and tell krita to use that. https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_man ... animations I got mine from http://ffmpeg.org and followed the download links to https://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ and used the ffmpeg-release-amd64-static.tar.xz link |

Hi, I know this( ffmpeg files) can be manually installed from krita appimages, but in krita snap is not possible. Actually I use krita flatpak but I will hope krita snap package can fix this issue in the future

It is not possible to package ffmpeg together with Krita: doing so would open a whole host of legal problems.
