Hello. I'm love Krita so much and use it for 2d art for 1 year.
![]() So...i have some ideas - how we can improve Krita workspace. One of them here. I have made an example to show you my my thoughts: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9u93i70vln4jh5d/Group3.jpg?dl=0 |

I am not really in favour of these changes.
* We already have two places where we show the preset selector. Replacing the favorite presets circle with a third place sounds like overkill * Moving the zoom slider away from the popup will make it harder to find it; it will break the idea of the popup as "one thing" * Showing all this stuff at the same time makes something that was intended to be small (but which has grown some) even bigger, making it obscure even more of the image * I don't think the rotation ring is too thin The one thing that I think is worth thinking about is how we can make the smoothing options more accessible. I'm not sure it's going to be nice to have it as part of the popup, though. Most people seem to want to have it in the top toolbar. |

I can't speak for other artists, but in my opinion the favorite presets circle in current state absolutely useless, because it can't show all brushes in tag, and sorting order by most used frustrate me every time. ![]() |

Releski, you can actually have up to 30 entries for presets in the palette.
I feel that if you really need to have pop-up brush presets, maybe we shouldn't burden the pop-up palette with that, but instead allow all docker widgets to be 'popped-up' anywhere on the canvas, much like the advanced color selector and shift+i . |

In my mockup you can close or open color selector by button. But your idea looks interesting too. Anyway - if popup menu looks good for everyone as is - ok ![]() ![]() |

Of course a radically different approach might be to expose this to the python api, and then, like in Blender, users could be free to implement various models for this as per Blenders "newish" pie-menu.
Not that I am unhappy with the current implementation - but in keeping with the spirit of choice offered in open source allowing alternate options might be a good thing |
