Hi all!

This one trips me up every time- Having to press B to switch to brush mode when I just selected a brush whilst in another tool such as transform or gradient.

I feel it would make it more intuitive if selecting a tool from the brush menu or pie automatically takes you into brush mode without needing to then hit 'B'.

Been using it for two days now, very happy in general.

Things like this always need some careful thought. You're not wrong, but there are also the ellipse, the rectangle and other shape tools that use the current brush. So maybe selecting a brush preset should select the previously used brush tool -- and there might be other complications.

Please don't, other tools use the brush presets. But may be a gesture system to change tools… on the other hand, is it unpractical to hit "b" or click the brush tool icon?

I think I will agree with boud. I can confirm that needing to press the key for freehand is not that cool.
