Hello Krita development team,
The new creamy brush engine is incredible in Krita. It's a huge improvement to painting.. Thank you for adding this new system. Just wanted to share two ideas for improving the floating color wheel. Which could help a painter work much faster with Krita. 1) Having an option to hide ALL color history. So only one color swatch is visible - next to the color wheel. 2) Rotating and flipping vertically the position of the color triangle. So light is up, dark is down, and saturation is right. Here is an image showing these ideas: https://sta.sh/0qv5esjo3qe Both ideas could be optional - included in Krita configuration - color wheel options. 1 - Being able to hide color history - would help in judging color against the painting. Having extra swatches confuses the color choice. 2 - Selecting color from a rotated triangle - with light up, dark down, and saturation right - is much more natural. It makes more sense. The user can travel up or down, which is easier to understand. The current triangle makes the user travel diagonally, which is confusing. This triangle orientation could be an extra option in the color wheel configuration. Thanks you for viewing these ideas.. and for the great amount of improvements that have been added to this program! |
