Hello there!

I am going to enter my Master’s thesis in a few short months, and before that I need to either accept previously proposed thesis, or I could propose a theme for my “mentor”. If he agrees, he can propose the topic to the university, and then work can begin!

I've been using Krita for a few years after migrating from Photoshop, and I thought it would be really interesting to maybe support this project in a substantial manner, like a "GSOC, but a thesis" However, I’m a bit lost to see what exactly could be done (that isn’t already being done, or is going to be done by the developers).

It would be a 4 month, full time thesis, so that gives me a lot of time to learn new subjects. This means that a suggestion could be regarding any topic, I am fascinated by this area, and everything seems to be quite interesting!

The most important thing to the suggestion is that it’s an hypothesis that can be validated. Without this it cannot be considered a thesis, and therefore cannot be accepted by the mentor.

Please send some suggestions about what you would like to see improved, it would really help out a lot!

There's many different sections to Krita.

Can you explain what you're most interested in? Like, have you done graphics programming before? And of the programming you have done, which type were you best at, or which type did you find the most fun?

Sounds very cool! We've done this once before, when Lukas did his thesis on experimental brush engines. That didn't fit the "hypothesis that can be validated" criterum, though, I think. Before I can come up with suggestions, I'd need some examples of proposals that could be accepted.

Oh, since there are experts on writing a dissertation, I would like to ask you to help me. I need to write a dissertation on economic growth and economic development, I found a tremendous amount of information, and I know what to write. But I hit a dead end when I started writing my dissertation, I turned to my mentor, and he told me to start with a thesis synonym. So, help,thesis synonym, what is it? I guess, but I want to be sure that I understood correctly and therefore turned to the professionals.
