Hello. I've been using Krita for years, and I've been liking how it's been shaping up. More recently, I've been using it to create game development assets, and it's been fantastic. Somewhat recently, Unity added a 2D Skeletal Animation Package, which has made wonders to our workflow (Information about it: https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.u ... index.html). By exporting an organized file as PSB and importing it in Unity, it's very easy to rig a 2D skeleton without having to manually reconstruct it from each part.

However, it only works with PSB files. With my tools available, Photoshop is the only one that can export files to the PSB format, and it's the only reason I actually keep Photoshop around. I talked with someone from the IRC a few months ago and they said that it could, in theory, be implemented without too much problem. I'd like to propose, thus, for a PSB exporting option to be taken into consideration.

I know it's a niche use, but it'd help out team - and hopefully others as the animation tool become more spread - a lot. Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to more Krita! :)

Just wanted to let you know that there is a simple work-around for this. I've confirmed that you can save your files in Krita as .psd files, and then just change the filename extension to .psb and Unity will import it correctly. It would still be good for Krita to support .psb format, but at least for your purpose (and mine), thankfully there is a simple workaround.
