Edit: This feature already exists (undocumented?) As kamathraghavendra pointed out below!
I would like to humbly suggest a way to draw straight lines with the lasso tool, as a temporary modifier. For example: While drawing a lasso shape, Hold V key to temporarily switch to straight line mode (dragging out the line end point), release V to resume drawing outline. I would also really like this with the Fill Shape brush (which works like a lasso), as I currently use that to draw most of my outline shapes. Example of the types of shapes: ![]() Thank you for your consideration.

Hi tripclaw,
Krita has such feature but it is actually reversed. You can see it in outline selection tool, where you can switch to polygon selection while holding the ctrl key. |

Wow, it does have it! Thank you! I had tried all the key combos but didn't realize you needed to lift the pen while holding control to activate it. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the documentation (https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/outline_select.html). It doesn't work with the Shape Fill brush unfortunately, but I'll probably switch to using Outline selections on a mask now to accomplish what I want. |
