I'm trying to figure out how the airbrush tool is designed. Typically, brush simulation works by drawing a line and daubing a graphic at regularly spaced intervals along that line. But if that graphic were a radial gradient, I would get lots of visibly overlapping circles and not the smooth airbrush stroke that I see in the final program. So how does Krita render an airbrush stroke? I'm having difficulty navigating the source code and I can't find anything online describing airbrush simulation.
