Hello Krita community,
I started using krita a couple of months ago and i think it is an awesome program but, i have run across some issues using the grid and guide settings. im having a hard time centering the the guides to my canvas. i noticed when adjusting the the spacing of the grid it expands from the to left to the bottom right which make it tricky to center especially when the canvas isn't a perfect square. I suggest that the point of origin for the grids expansion should be the center of the canvas that way if i wanted to say, split up the canvas into third there would be less stress trying to adjust it as such. another suggestion is to be able to snap guide to the center point of 2 other guides. this would also simplify the creating accurate guides. Thank you |

For the grid tab of the docker, a choice between top-left origin and image centre origin would add more flexibility.
For guides at the moment, if you do View -> Snap To -> Snap Image Centre then the guides will snap to image centre when you adjust their position. For the Guides tab of the docker, maybe a choice of snap to none, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6 image size? There are many possible things that could be tried and I like the GIMP method where you add a horizontal/vertical guide at x% from the top/left side of the image. |
