Please incorporate the angle and distance measurements from the measure tool as information readouts in the tool options for the assistant tools or the information bar at the bottom of the program.
Hello. I am practicing the use of perspective in my artwork and am realizing that it is heavily dependent on angular and distance measurements. When I use a ruler assistant, I am dismayed to find that it does not display the angle of the ruler nor the distance of the specified line. I am aware of the measure tool, but it is impractical to use when planning precise placement of lines as, when I switch over to the line tool or the assistant tool, my measurement vanishes before I can align my strokes. I would be grateful if you incorporated the angle and distance measurements from the measure tool into the tool options for the assistant tools or into the information bar at the bottom of the screen. That would allow me to work on perspective drawings with more confidence; especially when I am trying to set up station points on a cone of vision. Yes, I am aware that I can use the vanishing point 'density' option to cheat this technique, but it is cumbersome. Guides and rulers from the 'view' top menu do not help for this purpose. Thank you for providing artists a free way to pursue digital art. |

Can you please make a picture or something showing what you mean? (preferably for both line tool and assistant tool (which assistant(s)?) separately) And why do you need measurements there?
