kinda slow performance

Fri May 16, 2014 6:50 pm
It runs at 60 FPS when I'm doing nothing, but as soon as I resize or minimize windows or do ither stuff, it drops to 20 - 40.

RAM: 3.9 GiB
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor × 2
Graphicscard: Geforce GT 220

Edit: Sometimes (randomly? at least looks like it) the vsync turns off and everything starts to flicker and windows won't close/move/minimize.

also I noticed that, when I switch between XRender and OpenGL, that the latter one doesn't show any transparency

If you deactivate compositing, do you still experience these performance impacts?

I also noticed that Breeze is slower than oxygen, after stress testing (maximizing and minimizing a window a couple of times)

With Breeze it goes down to 15 - 20 fps

With Oxygen it stays at 50 - 60 fps

As far as I know that's expected, since the Breeze window decoration is currently based on Aurorae (unless it's changed recently) while Oxygen is C++. The reason is because nobody's gotten around coding the Breeze decoration in C++ yet.
