Hello-
in KDE 4, I set up a few global keyboard shortcuts on every machine that I use (meta+T for Konsole, meta+E for Dolphin, etc.). This is easy to do through System Settings -> Shortcuts and Gestures -> Custom Shortcuts. I usually make a new group "Custom" and then add new command/URL shortcuts into that group. I can't seem to find a way to do this in Plasma 5, though. System Settings -> Shortcuts no longer has a "Custom Shortcuts" item on the left, and neither "Application Keyboard Shortcuts" nor "Global Keyboard Shortcuts" lets me define a new key combination to launch a program. Is this functionality known to be missing from Plasma 5? I've been using the latest Neon 5 ISO from http://files.kde.org/snapshots/ (dated 2014-08-29 08:37), so it's possible that it's been added sometime in the last month. I'm attempting to install the contents of that live CD to disk so that I can upgrade it through apt, but I'm not sure whether this is expected to work. If anyone can confirm that this functionality is still missing in the current versions of all associated components, I'll add it to https://community.kde.org/Plasma/5.1_Errata as per Jonathan Riddell's message at http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/plasma-de ... 35916.html . I searched the KDE bug tracker but didn't see anything recent or relevant. |

Ah, nevermind! I managed to install the live CD image to disk, did an 'aptitude full-upgrade', and this functionality is present again in the 'git20140930' versions of the 'project-neon5' packages.

Does anybody knows how to turn them on with Fedora 22?
