Hi,
I've upgraded from KUbuntu 14.04 to KUbuntu 14.10 and after that, I've followed the instructions here, https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Packages#Kubuntu, to install Plasma 5. Everything went well however, upon restart I get the following information from Dolphin, Kate and so on: Version 4.14.1 Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.1 So, how do I know which version of KDE am I running and how can I be sure that everything gets properly upgraded to Platform 5.1? Or am I asking something really stupid, in which case I apologize. Thank you. Kind regards

could you post the link you followed for installing 5 (for my info)
try logging out and on the login screen change your preferred desktop to 5, menu -> session type -> plasma 5 |

does Kubuntu allow installation of both 4.x and 5? if not then your upgrade to 5 didn't take

I'm not sure about this one, maybe I should ask in a Kubuntu specific forum.

the link you posted says in 4.10 Plasma 5 replaces 4.x which would indicate your install did not go well, did you follow all 5 steps for 4.10?
asking on the Kubuntu forum would be a good idea |
