I just tried installing plasma-5 but im getting this error, and not totally sure how to go about fixing it

I followed the instructions for adding the repo and then this is the output after running yum install plasma-5

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest


Any help? plasma 5 looks great an really want to get it going

I assume you're using the dvratil repo https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/dvratil/plasma-5/

There might be some conflicts, usually removing the conflicting KDE 4 packages manually via yum remove, and trying yum install plasma-5 again helps.

I would think that kffmpegthumbnailer wasn't critical (or is it?) and you could just use "yum remove kffmpegthumbnailer" or whatever the proper syntax

For plasma-scriptengine-python not sure, I know I don't have a similar pkg in Plasma 5 in openSUSE you could try manually removing it but no idea

as this is a Fedora upgrade you might want to see if others encountered this on their forum as different distros package things differently

There is no Python script engine in Plasma 5 due to missing bindings, therefore there should be no issue removing it (unless you depend on Python applets - but you couldn't use them in Plasma 5 anyway).
