unwanted 'notes'...

howdy folks!

I do not want this little icon on my desktopbar...it apperared after remove ristretto ... how to get rid of that ?

originally I had assumed it was a remnant of ristretto but now thinking thats incorrect

check in system tray settings in both display and entries for something with note in the name (might be knote, though my icon is a it different) and either disable it in display or hide it in entries. if that doesn't work search in ksysguard for an app with "note" in the name

That's just a coincidence :) Somehow (maybe middle mouse?) you have accidentally pasted the notes widget into your panel. To remove it, make sure your widgets are unlocked and click the three lines icon (formerly the cashew), then remove it with the X when hovering your cursor over the widget. You can prevent it in the future by having your widgets locked.
