Hello fellow KDE enthusiasts and CentOS 7 users!
I put some work into trying to get Plasma 5.8.90 building and functional on CentOS 7. I tried to put this together in the best way possible to help comb through the dependency nightmare. So far I only cover the getting the Plasma desktop up and running.

its now Febuary 2017 has there been any movement on getting Plasma 5 to Epel 7? The old KDE workspace while brilliant is looking a little dated.

I think the biggest obstacle at this point is the minimum supported Qt 5.7.0 since KDE Frameworks 5.37.0. Although that would still give you compatibility with KDE Plasma 5.8.x LTS.

sorry to disturb you, but I was wondering if there is still work going on making Plasma 5 available for CentOS 7? It is now close to the 7.5 release and thought that we could have Plasma 5 on CentOS.... or should we wait for CentOS 8?

I have seen that now is KDE 5.15, when it will be on Centos 7.6, or how can I upgrade still existing 4.14 to this latest version?
