Hi,
Recently, kcm-touchpad for plasma 5 was removed from the Gentoo KDE overlay. I also couldn't find it on projects.kde.org anymore. What happened to it? Is there a new way to graphically configure touchpads in KDE? Or none at all? Why isn't this part of Plasma anyway? Touchpads aren't exactly rare. Cheers, Malte |

It will be part of the kde-workspace and so for the next Plasma release (5.3). As where to find it, I suggest you ask your downstreams.

Thanks. I'm not sure why it was removed from Gentoo, but I will just wait for Plasma 5.3 then.

I met the same problem...
Just in case you haven't found the answer. According to this commit: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/kde.git/ ... f4fe74c3d3 `kde-plasma/kcm-touchpad` is superseded by `kde-plasma/plasma-desktop`. so enable `USE="touchpad"` for `kde-plasma/plasma-desktop` solves the problem. |

Thank you for this hint! How would I do this? Should there be a configuration file in a folder named "kde-plasma"? Where would I find this folder/file? Or do you have to adjust this settings via command line? |
