I'm pulling my hair out over this one. Ever since I upgraded to 15.04 beta a month or so ago (and continuously updated since then), my usb devices have not automounted. I get the pop-up in the Device Notifier, and when I click on Open with File Manager, the devices will open, but they refuse to mount automatically. I don't have anything in fstab, and no udev rules. Older advice points to having Removable Device Automounter launch as a service at boot, but I don't appear to have that service anymore.
The system sees the devices in syslog and journalctl, they just don't mount. Devices are formatted a variety of ways, FAT and HPFS. Launching kcmshell4 device_automounter_kcm via command line fails to list any devices at all, and the various checkboxes have no effect. output of syslog:
output of fdisk- -l:
lsusb
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks! |
