Wallpaper from command line?

Mon May 11, 2015 11:40 am
Hi guys,

Just a quick question (hope it belongs into this subforum):

With KDE4 it wasn't really possible to change the wallpaper from the command line (there are some hacky ways, but no "proper" solution). Is that now possible with Plasma 5? I only found a way to get the default wallpaper path ("kf5-config --path wallpaper"). If it's not possible at the moment to do that outside of the systemsettings, does anyone know if there are plans to make this possible in the future?

Cheers,

As far as I know, this limitation is still present in Plasma 5. I'm not sure what the plans are, though.

Thanks, einar!

I really hope, that'll be added soon (all other Window Managers I know of are capable of this (in one way or another))!
