Is there any way to remove the "Search" field from the "Applications Menu" (formery classic view) in the Kicker?

In previously versions, this search field did not exist, so hitting the shortcut to open the kicker allowed me to select any of my dozens of entries with a single key ("B" for browser, "T" for email, et cetera). Unfortunately, the new search field steals the focus, and I am unable to do anything but type into the search field.

I have looked in kmenuedit, but there isn't anything in there to do this. Thanks for any suggestions.

At the moment, it's not possible to remove the Search function from kicker.

Bummer, I hope that gets fixed or I'll have to find a new DE again. Thanks for the reply.
