I'm a long time Fedora and Plasma/KDE user.
I recently updated from F20 and KDE4 to F22 and KDE5. After dealing with a crash issue I'm back to having a working system. I've noticed something bothersome. I have a two-monitor setup, nVidia video hardware using the Neuveaou driver. I like having a Konsole session window or two open in my workspace, and Plasma "remembers" this. However: I'm used to the "layout" of the windows being preserved. Currently, the Konsoles start up and stay in the upper left hand corner of the left monitor's workspace. Is there a configuration setting that changed or might have been lost? Any help appreciated. |

Session management is largely unimplemented in KF5 (this also covers KF5 bases konsoles which should only restart randomly) - see ttps://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341930 for details and pending patches.
However "all konsole in the upper left and stay" rather sound like there's not WM at all. Do the have titlebars? Do other windows work as expected (titlebar & movable)? |

Thanks, that bug covers the situation. I'm disappointed that it is a bug and not an oversight on my part.
By "stay" I was covering the case where a window starts at one location and then jumps. I've seen this happen with Firefox. The windows themselves are normal and usable and I can move them to the desired locations. |
