Neither Logout or Shutdown seem to work reliable
I have installed Plasma5 from the openSuse repos
and everything seems fine except these. This is openSUSE
13.2 with the Nvidia blob.

Any suggestions ?

define "work reliable" - a common problem is networkmanager changing the hostname after the session started, see viewtopic.php?f=17&t=119788 on details.

You'll usually find

_IceTransSocketUNIXConnect: Cannot connect to non-local host localhost

in ~/.xsession-errors, resp. journald and

Code: Select all

cat /etc/hostname


will print

localhost

In case, change it to something reasonable (eg. "mybox" but NOT an IP address)
