I have two monitors using Nvidia video cards and plasma version 5.4.1

I set the primary monitor desktop layout to "Folder view" and the secondary monitor to "Desktop". When I logout/login, the primary monitor layout becomes "Desktop" and the secondary monitor "Folder view".

The same behavior happens for a new user with fresh kde configuration.

I removed ".config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc" and reconfigured the desktops. It did not lose the configuration this time.

The next problem is kalarm (version 2.10.12-ak) does not start in the system tray after login. I have to start it manually and tick the system tray option in View each time.

Sometime after login, kalarm is maximized (but not in the system tray) and the "views -> Show in system tray" grayed. To enabled it, kalarm has to be restarted.

Akregator (4.14.10) does not exhibit the above problem.

Is there a way to make kalarm start every time in the system tray under plasma 5?
