Style set by GNOME App Style break fonts in GTK+ apps

The following code in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 makes apps like Chrome, Inkscape, etc. use a font other than the default user font. The font also looks bold and ugly. Commenting widget_class "*" style "user-font" resolves the problem until you open GNOME Applications Style setting and save it. Everytime you change something you have to manually edit the ~/.gtkrc-2.0 file.
