I have one system running open source radeon (6870), one Intel (Sandybridge), and another nvidia's binary blob. Only on the radeon hardware does krunner look composited. On the other hardware it looks like it's not composited, with a black outline around it and no shadow. Compositing works just fine on all hardare.

I just noticed that if I kill krunner after login and restart it, it looks normal.
