As a new user to both kubuntu & plasma 5 (downloaded version 15.10) perhaps someone would know
how to make the bottom tab clearer - I can barely read it with light grey colours on a white background
and they are very small - thanks very much

colours - either change your desktop theme to one with dark text or maybe in the details tab change the panel background

text size - try changing the vertical width of the panel, on the right of the panel left click on the 3 horizontal bars and then drag the height icon upwards
