Compiz+Emerald support in kde5?

Wed Dec 23, 2015 1:18 am
Hey Guys.

After upgrading to KDE5 in Fedora 23, ive realized after installing compiz and emerald and using that as a replacement for KWin it appeared to me that support for this is very poor all of a sudden.

Im experiencing WM crashes, and restoring windows from minimize theyre all whited out in the box

Is there any way to get proper support back in KDE5?

Cheers

That's a compize bug and has nothing to do with the desktop environment.
It's likely that your GPU driver is troubled by the increased amount of GL contexts.

There's indeed a bug in libKKindowSystem (fixed in next KF5 release), affecting some KDE applications (notably the screenlocker) when using compiz as WM, but that's not what you desribed.
