When I go to Desktop Settings and try to change Wallpaper Type, I see light-grey text on white background.
How can I fix this ?
I use Breeze Dark Theme.

I can't duplicate using Breeze Dark, do you have same issue when changing layout?

Changing color scheme to Breeze makes text in Desktop Settings' drop down menu readable, but toolpit text in nvidia-settings becomes unreadable.

If using Breeze color scheme, it's light-grey text on white background.
If using Breeze Dark, it's white text on black background.

guessing that the issue is the color scheme you are using, can you try the default

Well, default color scheme didn't solve the problem with nvidia-settings.
And I kinda want to fix Breeze Dark rather than switching to different scheme.

understandable, can you see if a new user has the same issues

do you have (or haved) Gnome or other GTK based de installed? maybe Nvidia-settings is using their appearance settings thus causing the non-black text

ps - I have no additional thoughts

1. I can't log in as new user due to a bug, I'll send bug report as soon as I recompile required programs with debug info.
2. I had Gnome installed.

maybe it's not Gome/Gtk that's doing it because if I change my colors then I can get light text in the nvidia-settings box bit it's readable, I think that there's something with the combination of your theme and colors causing this.

When using Breeze color scheme, I noticed only nvidia-settings light tooltip text and some white icons on white background in the Account Settings (like white lifesaver near Help button and white plus icon on "add user" button) (also, tooltip text on Account Settings is readable).
When using Breeze Dark, I noticed only light text in drop down menu in Desktop Settings, everything else seems readable, including nvidia-settings.

Well, after messing with Color Settings I found a bug.
In Breeze Dark scheme View Normal Background is set to black and View Normal Text is set to light grey (almost white).
After experimenting I found out that View Normal Text is affecting Desktop Settings' drop down menu text and View Normal Background SHOULD affect Desktop Settings' drop down menu background, however, it doesn't change.
Is it a bug or Desktop Settings' drop down menu background is affected by another option ?
If it is a bug, where should I report it ?

Also, in Breeze scheme nvidia-settings tooltip text and background seems to suffer the same bug too.
