Hi everybody,

Two problems occur on my desktop (opensuse 42.1, KDE plasma 5.5.95, KDE Frameworks 5.20.0, QT 5.5.1, Kernel 4.1.15-8-default, 64 bit).

1. Occasionally, monitor starts flickering. Flickering stops if I turn off/on monitor several times. When logout and leave the system for couple of hours, I cannot login any more. I can write the password, however, the Enter does not work at all. Solution: turn monitor off/on for couple of times, or Ctrl-Alt-F1 and init 3 followed by init 5. ATtfirst, I thought Breeze decoration might cause troubles so I switched to Plastic decoration. result the same. BTW, Login screen is SDDM.

2. Using "zypper up" in the last few days I get a list of multiple files to be upgraded with the message "Nothing to do". If enter "zypper dup" the answer is:

Problem: nothing provides libQt5Core.so.5(Qt_5.6)(64bit) needed by kactivitymanagerd-5.6.0-1.1.x86_64
Solution 1: keep obsolete kactivitymanagerd-5.5.95-3.1.x86_64
Solution 2: break kactivitymanagerd-5.6.0-1.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

And I cancel the job.

Am I missing something or the library libQt5Core is just not ready yet.

are you using the Frameworks5 repo ? http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... Leap_42.1/

if so then you so thinking you need to add QT5 repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... Leap_42.1/

Thank you. That's it. I entered QT5 repo and upgrade went smoothly on. Nevertheless, as far as I remember I read somewhere that Framework 5 repo contains all required libraries. It looks like that is not the case.

What do you think about blinking/flickering of monitor. After upgrading there was one occurrence of flickering.
