I have two identical monitors, the Dell U2415 (1920x1200). Manjaro Linux 15.12 Capella
Originally I setup the monitors to run in extended mode and all was working well other than a few minor bugs such as the Synergy settings window being multiplied. Now every time I reboot or logout, I'm forced to: System Settings > Display settings > drag DFP1 so that it's adjacent to DFP5 > hit Apply > hit Apply again. Choosing the primary display does not cause the task bar/panel on DFP1 no matter what I select so I'm then forced to: Select the "burger" menu > click Screen Edge > carefully drag the panel over to the other screen's bottom > close (red x). As a side effect, software that virtualizes my keyboard and mouse for other machines (Synergy) skips the primary monitor when moving the mouse. Once the synergy client on the other machine(s) is stopped, I can regain control of that monitor. I assume synergy does this because technically there was "one" monitor when the login occurred. What can I do to prevent the screen cloning from happening and have the screens extended as they were originally on every login and reboot? |

Thanks hellblade. It's unfortunate that it's affecting so many people and in so many combinations. TVs, dual monitors, laptops with port replicators and so on. I'll deal with it until one of the KDE team fixes it. |
